The morning dew announces
The farewell of summer.
Leafy trees start their red
And yellow foliage
Anticipating their future
Nakedness.
Streams run
As if they knew that
They are going to freeze.
Blowing winds
Wither the smiling flowers.
The squawking of birds
Confirms their flight a warm corner.
Frightened deer look for
sustenance.
Travelers return to their work
Students to their books
Complaining children refuse
To leave their games.
The lover returns to his melancholy
For the love he lost in his audacity.
I contemplate the cycle of life
Awaiting with patience
The return of the
Burning sun.
Goodbye summer
